My late, younger brother and I grew up building model cars back in the 50s. We both got much better as we grew older but we weren’t very good as young kids, often getting glue on the windshield, or sloppy paint jobs. Out of frustration, we started “wrecking” the ones we screwed up. As adults, this evolved into a competition to see who could make the most realistic-looking wrecked cars. Now 67 years old, I’ve built literally hundreds of models, and no ideal how many I crashed. Often, they fell apart and were thrown away, but below are a few of my later wrecks.
